![]() The lost pet pages was put in place to help you find a pet you may have lost. The descriptions are very brief - they are the actual "stray animal inventory sheets" the shelter uses every day. You should visit the shelter every couple of days if you have lost your pet. These pages may give you an idea of the animals there, but should not take the place of you looking at the shelter for your lost animal. We also have a bulletin board at the shelter for lost and found pet information - you should check this board often, also. You can also place ads in the paper, and check other rescue group "lost and found lists". Also, check out the www.tulsapets.com lost and found page. Stray animals are held at the shelter for 3 days (not including the day brought in). For example, if your animal was picked up on August 1, it would be held 3 days - to August 4. If you do not claim the animal by August 4, it may be euthanized the morning of August 5. PLEASE CHECK THE SHELTER OFTEN!!! The shelter tries to hold as many animals as possible, but due to space limitations (the shelter does not turn away stray animals), they are unable to hold every animal (14,111 animals were taken in last year). ID YOUR PETS - the shelter will call numbers on tags!!!!!! You are welcome to email, but it is best to check at the shelter - you know what your pet looks like best! For a lost dog, check the Dog Inventory page, for a lost cat, check the Cat Inventory page. GOOD LUCK FINDING YOUR LOST COMPANION!!! KEEP LOOKING!!
